Property News - February Edition
February saw the lifting of the Covid-19 facemask requirements in public settings; as a result, you could see an increase in viewing attendance figures as the public were more confident in getting out and about. Our customer support team had a busy month organising and scheduling 243 viewings over the course of the four weeks. This renewed confidence that we’ve seen over the recent number of months since the Covid-19 restrictions began to lift has translated into happier vendors also with 516 offers placed throughout February.
New property listings on our site reached 33 in the month; this is up 50% from January indicating a greater willingness of vendors to now come to market. Anecdotally, it seemed many vendors had taken the month of January to get their property ready to be listed. Decluttering and painting were the order of the day at the start of the year.
We’re advising vendors that the market is incredibly buoyant at the moment and if they’re considering selling their property that now is the time to get the ball rolling. One of our new listings: 28C Blarney Park, Kimmage went live in February and 65 people had booked in for a viewing within a few short days of the listing going live - this is just one indication of how buoyant the market is right now.

Our dedicated customer support team is available to assist with queries from Monday to Saturday whether it’s on live chat, telephone or via email. In the month of February, the team worked through 235 live chats and our response time is literally a few seconds. Many prospective buyers use our handy feature where you self-register for updates on a particular property and you can also register for a viewing on our site just by browsing to the listing you’re interested in. If no viewing exists, people can just message the team to get one arranged. If someone wants to view a property, we will make that happen.

March is looking like it’s going to be a busy month; we’re averaging at three new property listings (going live) a day and interest from prospective buyers is immediate. Many people have spent the last two years of various lockdowns saving their money and are now marching onwards eager to get on that property ladder.
